The Maine Association for New Americans
MANA is an immigrant-led organization that promotes social and personal empowerment of immigrants.
Community Wellness and Peer Support Program
MANA’s Peer Support Program is a multilingual, multicultural emotional and wellness program that offers one-on-one and group support and public education sessions to destigmatize mental health and address individual and collective trauma.
Community Wellness and Transportation Program
As of September 30, 2024, MANA’s Transportation has ended. Due to our current financial capacity, we will only be able to provide a very limited number of rides each day for non-emergency medical and immigration appointment (Maine offices.) For medical rides, priority will be given to people who are already in our system and on a first-come-first-serve basis. We will keep you informed of any other changes. Thank you for your understanding.
Welcoming The Stranger Program (WTS)
MANA’s Welcoming the Stranger Program (WTS) matches volunteers with asylum-seeking individuals or families, to provide a warm welcome and build cross-culture connections to the Greater Portland community.
